(BWPA, Highly Commended Filmmaker), and
Dr Gabriel Strong (BBC Forces of Nature/Veritasium), bring together their unique combination of disciplines, to
produce moving, standalone stories, that educate, challenge, and inspire. The company maintains a low-budget ethos to limit their environmental impact and carbon footprint.

Mousehole Films are members of PACT/ PACT UK INDIES They make documentary output, with a focus on Natural History, Conservation and Environment. Their second feature, The Bough Breaks, began its 25 date UK Screenings summer 2023 and continues to screen at selected venues and film festivals and is now available to licence from Good Docs! They have two further films in post production and another in development.

AWARDS

Latest documentary feature The Bough Breaks has been awarded, nominated or selected in 10 international film festivals so far, including: Winner Best Environmental Film and Best Editing at the Cinematograpy and Photography Awards 2023, Runner Up Best Scottish Production 2023 at Close:Up Edinburgh DocuFest, Nominee North Light Award and Audience Award at Montrose LandXSea Film Fest 2024, and Nominee for SDG 15 - Life on Land Award and Best Documentary Feature at the Arctic Film Festival 2024. Danny Strong, ecologist and wildlife cameraman, had two of his short films No Room at the Top and Morning of the Moorland Matadors Highly Commended in the British Wildlife Photography Awards.
Feature documentary The Village on the Loch , also had a successful festival journey, winning a total of 14 Awards and 3 further Finalist Nominations. Screenings included: Bosnia & Herzegovina Tourism Festival (Sarajevo 2019), and HIFF - Hebrides International Film Festival (Harris & Lewis 2019). Distributed by 7Palms (USA).
